Yayoi Kusama’s “Fireflies on the Water,” which explores the concept of infinity, is now on view. Our Kusama retrospective opens July 12. 

While at LACMA, an old poster of the museum’s 1998 Kusama retrospective in the staff hallways intrigued me every time I passed by it. Recently my interest in the artist has been further piqued by her upcoming retrospective at the Whitney. I unfortunately don’t think I’ll be able to catch the show before it closes, but this video gave me plenty more Kusama for thought until my next encounter with her work.
