An exciting project I’ve been working on just launched — LACMA’s new Image Library, which allows users to download high-res art images for free and without any restriction on use — a big deal if you’ve tried to get high-res imagery from a museum (typically you’re looking at copyright issues and licensing fees). My new fave pastime in the office—abusing the zoom feature on the Impressionist works.
Hi, and welcome to my little space for random bits and musings on life in LA. Most of my days are consumed by work at the museum, but when I’m not inspired or let’s be honest, completely exhausted, by art & PR, I like to spend time on my own discovering new things about the city. They’ll usually revolve around restaurants, style/design, art spaces, books, & travel, but I am an equal opportunity adventurist, so lots pique my interest.
I started a blog “christine on her own” after I found myself out of a life-altering/consuming 4 1/2 year relationship and spent a good year or so expressing my thoughts on re-establishing my own identity and life. And I recently realized that I’m very happy with all the progress I made, and ready to move on to sharing more of the day-to-day, less of the heart-wrenching, and much more about all the incredibly beautiful and extraordinary people and things around me. So stay tuned!
